0. Definitions
-
Service: DoodleKino and related pages/features we provide.
-
Input: Content you upload or submit (e.g., drawing image, title, story idea, optional child nickname).
-
Output: Generated result from the Service (e.g., video and presentation text shown on the Premiere Page).
-
Premiere Page: A private page accessible via a unique link where you can watch (and typically download) your Output.
-
Credits: Prepaid units that can be used to start a creation (if offered).
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Service. By using the Service or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility (Adults Only)
The Service is intended for adults (18+). If you upload a drawing made by a child and/or provide a child's first name or nickname, you confirm you are the child's parent/guardian or have explicit permission from the parent/guardian to do so.
3. The Service (What We Provide)
DoodleKino lets you submit Input to generate an AI-made animated video. The Output is delivered digitally via a private Premiere Page (unique link).
Delivery method(s) and included features may vary over time and may differ by region or product tier.
4. AI Disclaimer (Important)
The Output is generated by AI. Results can vary and may not match the Input perfectly. The AI may interpret details differently and may produce unexpected visual elements.
By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept this variability.
5. Delivery Time
The Premiere Page is usually ready within a short timeframe, but delays can happen during peak load or technical issues. If delivery appears stuck or fails, contact support and we will help.
6. Pricing, Credits & Payment
No subscription: DoodleKino is not a subscription service. You pay per creation and/or via Credits/credit packs, as shown at checkout.
Credits (if offered):
-
One credit = one film creation. Each film generation consumes one credit.
-
Credits have no cash value and are generally non-transferable.
-
When Credits are consumed (e.g., when creation starts) is described in the checkout/creation flow.
-
Any expiry or special conditions will be shown at the time of purchase (if applicable).
Payments: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
7. Cancellation, Withdrawal Right, Refunds
Because the Service provides custom digital content and begins processing immediately after you start creation, the standard 14-day withdrawal right may not apply once performance has begun with your express request and acknowledgement.
7.1 Withdrawal waiver (digital content / immediate performance)
When you start creation, you must expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the process begins. This is implemented via a checkbox at checkout (or immediately prior to starting creation, depending on flow).
7.2 Refunds / regenerations for failures
If generation fails, or the delivered Output is technically corrupted or unplayable, we will provide either:
-
a free regeneration, or
-
a refund / credit reversal.
To request help, contact doodlekino.studio@gmail.com and include the Premiere Page link and a brief description of the issue.
7.3 No refunds for preference
We do not offer refunds solely because you dislike the AI's style/interpretation, provided the Service worked and the Output was delivered and usable.
7.4 Safety-blocked content
If our safety systems block your request:
-
First-time or borderline cases: We may refund your credit so you can try again with a modified drawing or story.
-
Repeated or clear policy violations: No refund is provided for content that violates our Content Rules (Section 10).
If you believe a block was a mistake, contact support and we will review.
8. Your Content & Rights
8.1 Your Input
You (or the child artist) retain ownership of your original drawing and other Input you submit.
8.2 License to operate the Service
By submitting Input, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transform, store, and display your Input only to:
-
generate your Output, and
-
host and deliver your Premiere Page (and provide customer support).
8.3 Your right to use the Output
You may download, keep, and share the Output for personal use (family/friends). Any commercial use requires our prior written permission unless explicitly stated otherwise.
8.4 Public use / marketing (opt-in only)
We do not publish your content publicly or use it in marketing unless you explicitly opt in with separate consent. Default is private.
9. Link-Only Access, Sharing & Privacy Controls
9.1 Default privacy
Premiere Pages are private by default and accessible via a unique link. They are not indexed by search engines (we use technical measures such as X-Robots-Tag headers and robots.txt to discourage indexing, though we cannot guarantee all crawlers will comply).
9.2 Shareable link toggle
You can control whether your Premiere Page link is shareable with others or restricted to only you. This setting can be changed at any time from your "My Films" page.
9.3 Festival Screenings (opt-in gallery)
You may optionally consent to have your film displayed in our public "Festival Screenings" gallery. This is entirely opt-in and can be revoked at any time from your "My Films" page. If you revoke consent, your film will be removed from the public gallery.
9.4 Your responsibility
You are responsible for who you share the link with. Anyone with a shareable link may be able to view the Premiere Page.
10. Content Rules & Prohibited Use
10.1 You must have rights to upload
You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload the Input and to grant the license described in these Terms, and that your Input does not infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
10.2 Prohibited content
You agree not to upload content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate—especially content involving children. You also agree not to upload content intended to harass, threaten, or harm others.
10.3 Copyrighted characters and third-party rights
We recommend original characters. Content that clearly copies copyrighted characters or brands may be blocked, rejected, or produce unexpected results.
10.4 Photos of real people
DoodleKino is designed for drawings. Please do not upload photos of real people (especially children) or sensitive personal information.
10.5 Enforcement
We may refuse generation, remove content, issue warnings, or restrict access if we believe content violates these Terms or creates safety/legal risk.
11. Storage & Availability
We aim to keep the Service and Premiere Pages available, but we do not guarantee permanent availability. We recommend downloading your video for your own safekeeping.
11.1 Content deletion
You may delete your films at any time from the "My Films" page. Deletion permanently removes:
-
The video and all associated images from our storage systems
-
The Premiere Page (the link will no longer work)
-
Associated metadata from our database
11.2 Deletion is permanent
Once deleted, content cannot be recovered. We recommend downloading your video before deletion if you wish to keep a copy.
11.3 Third-party copies
We cannot delete copies that you or others may have downloaded or shared outside our platform.
12. Service Changes
We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where reasonable, providing notice.
13. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law:
-
We do not guarantee that the Output will meet your expectations or be error-free.
-
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules may apply regardless of choice-of-law wording, and dispute terms must not remove your statutory rights.
